    Its hard to get them noticed, I cant help with that.

    This link has some tips, its a great list, especially for a novice shooter.

    Go to Flickr.com and get an account.
    Get your own website or make a blog using.
    Submit your photos to photo contests, as many as you can, whether you think you’ll win or not.
    And practice a lot!

    free lance…send any and all shots to any and all local newspapers, along with your contact info and after awhile, you will get one printed and you may even get a job of sorts.
